If you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/how-to-move-or-transfer-email-accounts-from-one-isp-to-another\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"transfer emails between Yahoo, Outlook, Gmail (opens in a new tab)\">transfer emails between Yahoo, Outlook, Gmail<\/a>, etc., then check the link. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transfer Gmail Emails With Gmail<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gmail has a tool called <strong>Import mail and contacts<\/strong> that you can use to do just that. Return to the screen above after the import has finished, and select <strong>make default <\/strong>to make all outgoing mail default to that Gmail address (you can still use the other one by selecting it manually).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use Your Desktop Email Client to Transfer Gmail Emails<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have both your Gmail account connected to an email program on your computer, transferring some or all of your emails into the other account is very simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s look at an example of how to transfer emails between Gmail accounts with Microsoft Outlook. Most other email clients will work very similarly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, we\u2019ll start with adding the two Gmail accounts to Outlook:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go to <strong>File <\/strong>> <strong>Info <\/strong>> <strong>Account Settings<\/strong> > <strong>Account Settings<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select <strong>New<\/strong> from the <strong>Email <\/strong>tab.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"453\" src=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/outlook-account-settings.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-65087\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/outlook-account-settings.png 680w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/outlook-account-settings-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/outlook-account-settings-610x406.png 610w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/outlook-account-settings-75x50.png 75w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Type one of your Gmail email addresses and follow the prompts to sign on and download your emails to the program.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-outlook-login.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-65088\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-outlook-login.png 680w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-outlook-login-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-outlook-login-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-outlook-login-610x610.png 610w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-outlook-login-50x50.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Once your account has been added, repeat the first three steps again to add the other Gmail account.<\/li><li>Finally, close out of the <strong>Account Settings <\/strong>screen so that you\u2019ll return to the list of emails in Outlook.<\/li><li>Let all the emails from both accounts fully download into Outlook.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Now it\u2019s time to actually move the Gmail emails in bulk:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>From the account that has the emails you\u2019re moving, open the folder that contains the messages.<\/li><li>Select the emails you want to move over to the other Gmail account. You can do this by selecting multiple with the <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> key or by grabbing all of them with <strong>Ctrl+A<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip<\/strong>: Do you want to move <em>everything<\/em> over at once, from every folder? Follow the PST export directions here to learn how to merge a PST file (Outlook data file) with your Gmail account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click and drag the highlighted emails into a folder in the other Gmail account. You can always move the emails again later if they land in the wrong folder, but do your best to pick the right one now (transferring them again later might be a tedious process).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-to-gmail-transfer-outlook.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-65089\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-to-gmail-transfer-outlook.png 680w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-to-gmail-transfer-outlook-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-to-gmail-transfer-outlook-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-to-gmail-transfer-outlook-610x610.png 610w, https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gmail-to-gmail-transfer-outlook-50x50.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip<\/strong>: If you prefer, make a new folder in the destination account that\u2019s entitled \u201cOld Emails\u201d or \u201cEmails From XYZ Account\u201d so that it\u2019ll be easier to distinguish them from other messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Wait while Outlook synchronizes the local messages with your Gmail account. They\u2019ll appear in your online account shortly, and thus visible from your phone, tablet, web browser, or wherever you access Gmail.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re interested, you can also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/how-to-check-all-of-your-email-accounts-from-gmail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">check all of your email accounts from Gmail<\/a>.
