Have you switched to Google Chrome<\/strong> from Firefox<\/strong>? If so, you probably want to transfer all your valuable bookmarks and possibly your well-organized Bookmarks<\/strong> toolbar to Chrome<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The process of transferring bookmarks between browsers is fairly straight-forward. You can pretty much follow the steps below for transferring bookmarks between any two browsers.<\/p>\n

First, you have to export your bookmarks from Firefox to an HTML file.\u00a0To do this, click on the Bookmarks button in the toolbar.<\/p>\n

In the latest version of Firefox, you need to click on the new icon that looks like a set of books on a shelf and choose Bookmarks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Then click on Show All Bookmarks<\/strong> at the bottom.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Note that you can also press the CTRL + SHIFT + B<\/strong> keyboard shortcut.<\/p>\n

This will bring up the Library window with All Bookmarks<\/strong> selected. Click on Import and Backup<\/strong> and then select Export Bookmarks to HTML<\/strong> from the list.<\/p>\n

The Export Bookmarks File<\/strong> dialog box displays. Specify a name for the HTML file in the File name<\/strong> edit box and select a location in which to save your file. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Close Firefox<\/strong> and open Google Chrome<\/strong>. Click the hamburger icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome<\/strong> window, click on Bookmarks<\/strong> and select Bookmark manager<\/strong> from the menu.<\/p>\n

In the Bookmark Manager<\/strong> dialog box,\u00a0click on the gear icon at the top right and then select Import bookmarks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Open<\/strong> dialog box displays. Navigate to the location in which you saved your Firefox<\/strong> bookmarks file. Select the HTML file and click Open<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The bookmarks from Firefox<\/strong> are imported into an Imported<\/strong> folder under Bookmarks Bar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can see the bookmarks on the right hand side when you click on Imported<\/strong>. The Bookmarks<\/strong> toolbar from Firefox is also imported under the Imported<\/strong> folder.<\/p>\n

If you want these bookmarks on the Chrome Bookmarks<\/strong> toolbar directly,\u00a0just drag and drop the folder to the Bookmarks Bar<\/strong> item in the list on the left.<\/p>\n

Your bookmarks from the Firefox Bookmarks<\/strong> toolbar are now available on the Chrome Bookmarks<\/strong> bar.<\/p>\n

If you don’t have the bookmarks toolbar enabled in Chrome, you can click on the hamburger icon and then click on Bookmarks<\/strong> to see all of your bookmarks.<\/p>\n
