Currently, the company doesn\u2019t allow free users to add local files to Spotify.<\/li><li>You can only add local files from a computer. You can\u2019t add files from your Android phone or iPhone, but you can listen to your local files on these devices.<\/li><li>You\u2019ll need the Spotify app for your Windows or Mac computer.<\/li><li>Spotify only supports the following file formats: MP3, M4P, and MP4. To use MP4, you must have QuickTime installed on your computer.<\/li><li>To access local music files on your iPhone or Android device, both your computer and your mobile device should be on the same Wi-Fi network.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let\u2019s take a look at how to add local files to your Spotify account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Add Local Files to Spotify on a Windows or Mac Computer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To import local songs into Spotify, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spotify.com\/us\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">download the Spotify app<\/a> to your Windows or Mac computer and install it. Both Windows and Mac versions work pretty much the same, so you can use the same steps below on both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launch the app and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.online-tech-tips.com\/how-to-change-your-spotify-username\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">log in to your Premium account<\/a>.
