If you\u2019re an artist who\u2019s been using Procreate for iOS to make digital paintings, drawings, or graphic design, you know just how useful the program can be, with its array of brushes, brush settings, lettering abilities, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there are some functions that can\u2019t be done solely through Procreate. So it can make sense to transfer art from Procreate into another program, such as Adobe Photoshop, to create exactly the piece you\u2019re envisioning. This way you can do compositing, use Photoshop brushes, or edit pixels in more ways than you can on Procreate.<\/p>\n\n\n

The question is, what\u2019s the best way to transfer art in Procreate to Photoshop? The makers of Procreate made this process very easy, as you can directly export Procreate pieces as Photoshop-ready files, which work much better than using file types like JPEG or PNG. In this tutorial we\u2019ll teach you how to do this quickly and easily. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Export Art in Procreate to Photoshop<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In order to edit all parts of your Procreate piece in Photoshop effectively, you\u2019ll want to export your Procreate piece as a PSD file, or Photoshop file. This is very simple to do in Procreate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In the top-left corner, click on the wrench<\/strong> icon to open the Action<\/strong> menu. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

          To do this on Mac, you can Airdrop the file to your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          To do this on Windows, you\u2019ll need to have Dropbox<\/a> on your iPad and computer. This will allow you to share the file across both devices. You can download Dropbox for iPad<\/a> on the App Store, and on their website<\/a> for PC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Once downloaded, follow these instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      Besides exporting a PSD file from Procreate, you can also import one into the program, with your layers intact.
