Have you heard that you can \u201cpin\u201d videos or comments on TikTok but aren\u2019t sure exactly what that means? Here, we\u2019ll explain the Pin feature and how to use it on TikTok.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Does Pinned Mean on TikTok?\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pinning to most means saving an item to the top of your list. You\u2019ll see the feature on other social media platforms like Instagram. Instagram users can pin a comment<\/a> or post to make it the first one you see. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this same theory, you can pin one of your TikTok videos<\/a> to place that clip at the top of your profile. When a follower views your profile, they see that video you\u2019ve pinned right at the top along with a \u201cPinned\u201d indicator in red.\n<\/p>\n\n\n

As of this writing, the ability to pin TikTok comments is no longer available. If you long-press a comment to select Pin from the pop-up menu, you\u2019ll notice the option is missing.\n<\/p>\n\n\n

It\u2019s difficult to determine exactly when TikTok removed the feature; however, it\u2019s been discussed on websites like Reddit<\/a>, Quora<\/a>, and even TikTok<\/a> itself.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason the Pin feature was removed isn\u2019t clear either. Some believe it was to reduce harassing, negative, or malicious comments. However, TikTok hasn\u2019t confirmed this nor provided a concrete reason (as of yet).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luckily, you do still have the ability to pin a TikTok video, so let\u2019s take a long at how to do so.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Pin a Video on TikTok\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you want to make sure other TikTok users see your favorite videos or those you\u2019re most proud of, you can pin up to three. Should you want to pin another, you\u2019ll need to first unpin a video (explained below) and then pin the next one.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the Pin feature is only available in the TikTok mobile app. It\u2019s not yet a feature you can use on the TikTok website on your computer<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the TikTok<\/span> app on your Android or iOS device and select the Profile<\/span> tab.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Play the video you want to pin.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Use the three dots<\/span> on the right to open the menu and choose Pin<\/span> in the bottom row.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    You\u2019ll see a brief message at the top that you\u2019ve pinned the video. When you return to your profile page, you\u2019ll see the video at the top of your list and the Pinned<\/span> indicator on it in red.\n<\/p>\n\n\n

    How to Unpin a Video on TikTok\n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    If you decide later you want to remove a video from the top of your list or prefer to pin a different one and have reached the three-video limit, you can unpin a pinned video.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Follow the same steps as above to launch the TikTok app, play the video, and open the three-dot menu. Then, choose Unpin<\/span>.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You\u2019ll see a message that the video has been unpinned. When you view your TikTok profile<\/a>, the Pinned<\/span> indicator no longer appears and the video returns to its original spot in your list.\n<\/p>\n\n\n
