We\u2019ve all got Snaps we want to keep private, whether personal photos, or just something you don\u2019t want anybody else using your phone to see. You can already create Private Stories<\/a> on Snapchat, and now, for those extra private Snaps, you can protect your Snapchat privacy<\/a> with the My Eyes Only Snapchat feature. This feature protects those private Snaps with a passcode \u2014 so only those with the passcode can view the Snaps. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll show you how to set up My Eyes Only and how to add or remove Snaps to keep your most private Snaps safe from prying eyes. \n<\/p>\n\n\n

How to Set Up My Eyes Only\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It takes just a few seconds to set up My Eyes Only. You\u2019ll need to have one Story or Snap saved to Memories or share content from your Camera Roll to Snapchat. Here\u2019s how to set up My Eyes Only:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. From Snapchat\u2019s Camera Screen, swipe up to open Memories, then tap Snaps <\/span>or Camera Roll<\/span>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Press and hold on a Snap, then tap My Eyes Only<\/span>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. If you don\u2019t see this option, you may need to tap More <\/span>> Hide Snap (My Eyes Only)<\/span>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Tap Quick Setup<\/span>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Create your passcode (a four-digit number).\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Your Snap will now be moved to My Eyes Only. \n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    How to Add Snaps to My Eyes Only\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Now that you\u2019ve set up the My Eyes Only Snapchat feature, it\u2019s easy to move saved Stories or Snaps from Memories to My Eyes Only \u2014 or move videos or photos from your Camera Roll to My Eyes Only. Here\u2019s how to add snaps to my Eyes Only:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. If moving items from your Camera Roll, you\u2019ll also be asked if you want to delete the original from your Camera Roll. Tap Delete <\/span>if you want to do that.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

        How to Remove Snaps From My Eyes Only\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Just as it\u2019s easy to move Snaps to My Eyes Only, removing them takes just a few seconds. Here\u2019s how to do that:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        2. At the top, scroll to the right and tap My Eyes Only<\/span>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Enter your passcode when prompted.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Press and hold on the Snap you want to remove.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Tap Unhide<\/span>.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

          How to Recover Deleted Snaps From My Eyes Only\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          If you accidentally delete snaps from My Eyes Only or forget your My Eyes Only passcode, you\u2019ll be unable to access any of the Snaps saved to My Eyes Only. It\u2019s not as simple as forgetting your Snapchat password or email \u2014 Snapchat support can\u2019t help you recover your passcode or Snaps. You can reset your passcode, but you\u2019ll lose access to any Snaps previously saved to My Eyes Only. Resetting the passcode creates a new My Eyes Only \u2014 so this time, make sure you choose a memorable passcode.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
